The Artist

A Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship winner in 2006, Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute has won praise for her work as both recitalist and accompanist. Her ability to communicate the essential substance of a work, whether in recital, with orchestra, in chamber music, or in art song, has led critics to describe her as possessing "razor-sharp intelligence and wit" (Washington Post) and as "elegant and engaging" (Wall Street Journal). A founding member of the piano trio Trio Cavatina, she has appeared with PCMS as part of that group and as accompanist to artists such as Soovin Kim and Sophie Shao.  Ms. Jokubaviciute is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Mannes College of Music, where she studied with Seymour Lipkin and Richard Goode. She appears regularly at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium and tours regularly with Musicians from Marlboro. For more information on Ieva Jokubaviciute, visit www.ievajokubaviciute.com.
