The Artist

Jennifer Koh is a graduate of Oberlin College and an alumna of the Curtis Institute, where she worked extensively with Jaime Laredo and Felix Galimir.  She has performed with many of America's most important orchestras and on leading recital series, including with PCMS (a bravura performance with pianist Reiko Uchida at the Philadelphia Museum during the 2005-06 season).  More recently she has appeared in recital at the 92nd Street Y in New York as well as in Los Angeles and Vancouver and with the orchestras of Atlanta, Philadelphia, Minnesota and Houston and the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC.  Her latest recent recording,  String Poetic, was nominated for a Grammy Award and features world premieres of music by Jennifer Higdon and Lou Harrison as well as works by John Adams and Carl Ruggles.  For more information on Jennifer Koh visit her website.

Hailed by the Financial Times as "an artist to follow keenly", Shai Wosner has appeared in recitals throughout the U.S. and Europe, including London's Wigmore Hall, the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and The 92nd Street Y in New York.  Recent orchestral engagements have included his critically-acclaimed debut with the Cleveland Orchestra, his return to the Atlanta and Houston symphonies, the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, the Fresno Philharmonic, the Indianapolis and North Carolina symphonies.  He also continues his extensive performing and recording activity as a BBC New Generation Artist, which he was named in September 2007. In addition to performances with Jennifer Koh, highlights of Wosner's 2009-2010 season include his subscription debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, engagements with the BBC Scottish Symphony (a Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall as well as subscription concerts) and recitals with violinist Viviane Hagner.
