Education Philadelphia music schools provide students with valuable instruction and performance opportunities. PCMS, through its annual music education program, enhances this training by putting young people into direct contact with some of the world’s most talented and acclaimed concert artists. Since education is a lifelong pursuit, PCMS also offers audience members informative pre-concert lectures. Now in its 10th year, the PCMS program will encompass over 50 events, including:

Free interactive concerts for children from grades 3 through 7, introducing them to the different families of instruments, to great styles of the past and present, and to exciting music. 
Free in-school classes conducted by master artists from around the world to music students at high schools and universities around the city. These unique classes offer students direct contact with internationally renowned artists, inspiring them to reach for the highest goals in life.
Free presentations by respected composers and musicologists from around the country, helping audiences to deepen their understanding of, and appreciation for, the music to be performed that evening.
