College of Physicians
College of Physicians

Designed by the distinguished architectural firm of Cope & Stewardson, the College of Physicians of Philadelphia’s 22nd Street building is an unusually bold example of an early 20th century institutional building designed in the classicism of 17th century England. Deemed a National Historic Landmark in 2002, “this building illuminates what is perhaps the central theme of the history of American medicine, the transformation of an exclusive and somewhat guild-like trade into a modern profession.” The grandest of the spaces, Mitchell Hall, is the venue for our Emerging Voices Project panel discussions. The hall features a 30-foot rococo ceiling, large leaded glass windows, and a period dais.

The College of Physicians is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. For more information on this venue, please click here.

Located near Rittenhouse Square, the College of Physicians is accessible by SEPTA subway, bus, and trolley lines.
