Social Series presents A Taste of Olive

February 9th, 2012

Published in: Chamber Music

Ever been to a viola recital?  Ever been to a balsamic tasting?

For our most unique Social Series pairing yet, we have combined an artist with an artisan – both of whom specialize in correcting the skewed perceptions people have of their medium.  Violist Kim Kashkashian is “an artist who combines a probing, restless musical intellect with enormous beauty of tone” (New York Times).

Equally as curious to be standing alone, olive oils and balsamic vinegars are often restricted to kitchen shelves as the base for cooking. Prepare yourself to be surprised.  A Taste of Olive will be hosting our Social Series tasting on Friday, February 10th.  With their mission to share the concept of incorporating a more flavorful and healthy cuisine into a way of life, company reps Kimber and Fabio will serve a variety of Balsamics – Traditional, Dark Chocolate, Espresso, etc. – as cheese complements as well as their truffle sauce and an Extra Virgin Olive Oil or two.  The appeal of this tasting comes from the finest award-winning 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oils, grown and pressed by artisans and small farmers around the world and infused with herbs and fruit.  And their balsamic vinegars are harvested and aged up to 18 years!

This is not your ordinary experience.  Come ready to change your suppositions.
