Social Series Presents Burlap and Bean
November 1st, 2011
Just like those favorite artists that return year after year, we keep coming back to Burlap and Bean coffee morning after morning, year after year. But it’s more than just caffeine that’s led to our partnership, and to you enjoying Burlap and Bean coffee at our Philosophical Society concerts. It’s the commitment we share to quality and service in every aspect of operations. For Burlap and Bean, this means serving 100% Fair Trade Organic Coffee, roasted, ground and brewed fresh in house. In their words, they are “committed to restoring America’s wayward ways by introducing fresh coffee back into the market place, one community at a time.”
Their success, however, goes beyond having a quality product. The coffee (a necessary base to their business, to be sure) is really only the means to an end. Serving the best drink in town is the juncture at which many people, cultures and ideas meet and interact. They value the community, far and wide – respecting farmers, being faithful to their patrons and the neighborhood, providing a platform for artists and musicians, promoting other organizations (like PCMS), and remaining loyal to their family roots.
On Friday, November 4th at 8 pm, Burlap and Bean will present a complimentary coffee tasting at the American Philosophical Society in conjunction with Nicholas Phan’s all-English song recital. Before the concert or at intermission, you’ll likely taste some of the best coffee you have ever had. I hope you’ll enjoy a cup, stop to chat with Burlap and Bean’s genial represenative, Kapil Kataria, and enter a society of people who love more than just their coffee.
Equal parts a coffee shop, roast house and music venue, Burlap and Bean is located in the Shops at Springton Pointe, 204 South Newtown Street Road in Newtown Square. For more information on Burlap and Bean products, call 484-427-4547 or visit www.burlapandbean.com.
