About This Performance

Grammy Award-winning violinist Jennifer Koh opens PCMS’s 41st season alongside Vijay Iyer, a composer and pianist hailed by The Guardian for his “melodically alluring, rhythmically invigorating, [and] deviously dazzling music.” For his PCMS debut, Iyer joins Koh to give the world premiere of  Part II of his Scenes of Living and Dying, a collection of works intended to hold space to channel our private and public griefs. Koh complements Iyer’s original compositions with a selection of solo violin pieces by J.S. Bach.
