About This Performance

Following an enchanting PCMS debut in 2023, the vocal ensemble ModernMedieval Voices returns to PCMS for a seasonal program celebrating Saint Mary through chants and polyphony from the 12th and 13th centuries. The concert also includes a new commission based on the Marian antiphons composed by the group’s founder, Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, formerly of the world-renowned vocal quartet Anonymous 4.

ModernMedieval Voices is all-female ensemble created by Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek to present programs that combine medieval chant and polyphony with new commissions and music from later eras.
