Ania Marchwinska, piano

Polish-born pianist Ania Marchwinska is a frequent collaborator with contralto Ewa Podles, having performed recitals with her in San Diego, Philadelphia, Louisville, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Oklahoma City, to name a few. The duo has also appeared at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Cleveland Museum of Art and Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned her Master's Degrees in piano performance from F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and Stanford University and a Master's Degree in accompanying from the Juilliard School. Specializing in both vocal and instrumental chamber music, she participated as vocal coach at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, Tanglewood Music Festival, Merola Opera Program in San Francisco, and Chautauqua Music Festival. Winner of many awards and competitions, Ms. Marchwinska regularly performs in many other American and European venues, including New York's Carnegie, Weill Recital and Alice Tully Halls, Washington's Kennedy Center, and the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro. She has served on the faculty of the Juilliard School and as a principal vocal coach at Opera Narodowa in Warsaw.
