David Chan, violin

Violinist David Chan is the Concertmaster of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and enjoys an active career as a recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States. Mr. Chan made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2003, performing the Brahms Double Concerto with cellist Rafael Figueroa under the baton of James Levine. A native of San Diego, Mr. Chan received his Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and his Master's degree from The Juilliard School. His principal teachers were Dorothy DeLay, Hyo Kang and Michael Tseitlin. Mr. Chan resides in New York City, where he is on faculty at The Juilliard School.
