Galimir Quartet

Galimir Quartet

With his three sisters, Felix Galimir founded the Galimir Quartet in 1927 at age 19 to commemorate the centenary of the death of Ludwig van Beethoven. In 1938, he re-formed the Quartet with leading string players of the time. In its later years, the group included such musicians as violinist Hiroko Yajima, violist Steven Tenenbom and cellist Timothy Eddy.
