Randall Scarlata, baritone

Hailed for his warm, expressive sound, consummate musicianship and winning way with the audience, Randall Scarlata is firmly established as one of the most highly regarded musical interpreters of his generation. His performances throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and South America have garnered raves from audiences and critics alike. Mr. Scarlata has appeared as soloist with great orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, The San Francisco Symphony, The Minnesota Orchestra, Vienna's Tonkí¼nstler Orchestra, the Ulster Symphony, The National Symphony, The Pittsburgh Symphony, the American Symphony, and the North Carolina Symphony. In addition, he has appeared at international music festivals including Ravinia, Marlboro, Edinburgh, Vienna, Salzburg, Aspen, Spoleto, and on concert stages across five continents.

Mr. Scarlata received his undergraduate training at the Eastman School of Music, then received a Fulbright Grant to continue his studies in Vienna at the Hochschule fí¼r Musik. He holds a masters degree from the Juilliard School and was also a member of the Juilliard Opera Center. Of particular significance were five summers as a participant in the Marlboro Festival, where he collaborated with many important chamber musicians and developed some of his most rewarding musical partnerships.
