Tessa Lark

Tessa Lark, violin, is the recipient of a 2018 Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship and winner of a 2016 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Naumburg International Violin Competition. A recipient of a career grant from the Annenberg Fellowship Fund in 2014, Ms. Lark has been an orchestral soloist and recitalist who has appeared with San Francisco Performances, Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, Ravinia's Bennett-Gordon Classics series, and the Caramoor Wednesday series. Ms. Lark has been invited to chamber music festivals including Marlboro, the Seattle Chamber Music Society, Yellow Barn, Ravinia, and Music@Menlo. She was named silver medalist of the 2014 Indianapolis Violin Competition, making her the highest-ranked American-born winner in the competition's history. Ms. Lark also took top prize in the 2012 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with Trio Modêtre. A native of Kentucky, she also regularly performs bluegrass music and collaborated with Mark O'Connor on his CD MOC4.
