About This Performance

Hailed for her “magnetic, wide-ranging tone” and “rock solid technique” (Philadelphia Inquirer), violist Ayane Kozasa enjoys a career that spans a broad spectrum of musical personas. Well known to Philadelphians as an Astral Artist and member of the Aizuri Quartet, the 2011 Primrose International Viola Competition winner performs Arnold Bax’s virtuosic sonata, a personally commissioned work by Brooklyn composer Paul Wiancko, and more in her PCMS recital debut.

Schubert: Sonatina in D Major, D. 384 [Arr.]
Wiancko: Buoyant Forces [World Premiere]
Enescu: Konzertstück
Bax: Viola Sonata
