About This Performance

Considered one of the most remarkably talented string quartets to emerge at a young age, the Dover Quartet is “already pulling away from its peers with its exceptional interpretative maturity, tonal refinement and taut ensemble” (The Strad). Winner of top prizes at the Banff International String Quartet Competition, the Fischoff Competition and the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, the Philadelphia-based Dover returns to the Perelman Theater stage for a program that culminates in a performance of Schoenberg’s staggeringly beautiful Verklärte Nacht with two of the Quartet’s mentors: former Guarneri Quartet member Peter Wiley and the Orion Quartet’s Steven Tenenbom.

Mozart: Quartet in B-flat Major, K. 589
