About This Performance

Hailed by The New Yorker as “destined for great things,” this three-year-old Trio takes its inspiration from the legendary pianist Mieczysław Horszowski. Horszowski’s influence is apparent in the musicianship, integrity, and humanity of this Trio consisting of two-time Grammy-nominated violinist Jesse Mills, cellist Raman Ramakrishnan (a founding member of the Daedalus Quartet) and Rieko Aizawa, a pianist with a “beautiful limpid tone” (Washington Post) who was Horszowski’s last pupil at the Curtis Institute.
