About This Performance

“One of the best blended, most sensitive and intelligent piano trios in the world today” (New York Times), the KLR Trio, in over three decades together, has set a new standard for the genre. Famed for their expressiveness and warmth, the group of Jaime Laredo, violin; Sharon Robinson, cello; and Joseph Kalichstein, piano returns to the Perelman Theater for a program that features a Philadelphia premiere by David Ludwig and Schubert’s magnificent “Trout” Quintet with Philadelphia Orchestra principals Choong-Jin Chang and Harold Robinson.

Beethoven: Variations on Ich bin der Schneider Kakadu, Op. 121a
Ludwig: Titania’s Dream [Philadelphia Premiere]
Schubert: Quintet in A Major, D. 667, “Trout”
