About This Performance

ModernMedieval Voices is an all-female vocal ensemble that blends polyphony and medieval chant with new commissions and music from later eras. Created by Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, a former member of the world-renowned vocal quartet Anonymous 4, the group makes its PCMS debut with a holiday concert of music from the British Isles, featuring beloved English medieval and Renaissance carols, traditional favorites, and more.

A Midwinter Feast
A collection of music written to celebrate the holiday season. Spanning from the 13th to the 21st centuries, the program includes carols, plainchant, traditional songs, and other music for Advent and Christmas from England, Ireland, and Wales.

Running time: 1 hour and 10 minutes (There will not be an intermission.)
