About This Performance

The Orion Quartet and Peter Wiley take us on a Schubertian journey through two of the composer’s most sublime, intrinsically musical, and profoundly spiritual works. Schubert’s music “is purity itself,” Yehudi Menuhin once proclaimed, and who better to articulate it than the “extremely virtuosic and accomplished players” (Los Angeles Times) of the Orion joined by Wiley, the esteemed former cellist of the Beaux Arts Trio and Guarneri Quartet.

Schubert: Quartet in G Major, D. 887
Schubert: String Quintet in C Major, D. 956
