About This Performance

For any string quartet, performances of the Beethoven quartets represent the summit of their craft, a challenge to stretch their intellectual and musical powers to their limits. France’s Quatuor Ebène caps our exploration of Beethoven’s epic cycle with an evening of masterworks, culminating in the haunting, epic majesty of Op. 132.
