Each member of this premier Czech trio “responds to the tiniest nuance … they live the music and you can’t help but to live it with them” (BBC Music). The trio’s debut program with PCMS features Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in D Minor—a wonderful blend of Romantic sentiment and fantasy with Classical-period economy, clarity, and poise. Robert Schumann described the Trio as “the Master Trio of the Present”, and declared that “Mendelssohn is the Mozart of the 19th century.”
