About This Performance

A PCMS favorite as a recitalist and as a member of the Johannes Quartet, Soovin Kim has been hailed for “superb” and “impassioned” performances (Berkshire Review) since capturing first prize at the 1996 Paganini International Violin Competition. His playing is fleet and dazzling in a pyrotechnic sense yet also rich with feeling–much like that of frequent collaborator Ieva Jokubavicute, who promises to contribute “razor-sharp intelligence and wit” (Washington Post) to this intimate all-Beethoven recital.
