About This Performance

Transport yourself to Vienna as one of the “world’s leading ensembles of piano, violin, and cello” (Washington Post) presents a program of works by three composers with deep connections to their city: Haydn as part of the first Viennese school, Brahms as a prominent resident of Vienna, and Beethoven whose final piano trio was premiered there and dedicated to Archduke Rudolf of Austria.

Haydn: Trio in E Minor, Hob. XV:12
Brahms: Trio in C Minor, Op. 101
Beethoven: Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 97, Archduke
