About This Performance

“What brought us together to create this program is the desire to connect, rediscover, and learn,” says violist Hsin-Yun Huang of her collaborative program with pipa player Wu Man. Juxtaposing folk-inspired music from the 13th century to today, these two master artists have created a listening experience that is “rich, surprising, and full of beauty” through the unlikely combination of these two magnificent string instruments.
