Bartram’s Garden

Bartram's Tent
Bartram's Tent

The mission of the John Bartram Association is to co-create equitable relationships among people and nature through immersive, community-centered experiences that activate the Bartram legacy, Garden, and House, on land and on the Schuylkill River, in Southwest Philadelphia. As the first nationally landmarked landscape and the oldest surviving botanic garden in North America, the fifty acres in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Southwest Philadelphia offer an aspirational vision for the future, where:

      • Public spaces are centers of welcome, respite, and celebration.
      • Nature and the environment are accessible and inviting to everyone.
      • People decide what happens in their own communities.
      • Historic places seek to repair our fraught legacies.

Accessible parking, seating and restrooms will be available at the venue. If you have specific accessibility needs or require assistance, please contact the box office in advance at [email protected] or 215-569-8080 so we can best accommodate you.

Please note that there is a 5–10 minute walk from the drop-off point to the performance space. See below for a video to help familiarize yourself with the path to Eastwick Pavilion.
