Soom Foods | Dover Quartet w/ Roberto Díaz, viola

The Dover Quartet is among the increasing number of artists who have joined Music for Food, a musician-led initiative to fight hunger.  Started in Boston by violist Kim Kashkashian four years ago, the organization has gained momentum by presenting concerts around the country to raise funds and awareness.

This season the Dover Quartet will perform in support of the Weavers Way Community Programs and their work at Stenton Family Manor in Germantown–the city’s largest emergency housing facility for homeless families–offering experiential learning opportunities that connect gardening and food production to nutrition and a healthy life.

Soom Foods will also host a tasting in conjunction with this concert.  This Philadelphia-based, women-owned business of three "Soom" sisters will be opening the night with a hummus tasting before the concert and then switch to a sweeter item for the intermission.
