Evening Concerts to Begin at 7:30 PM in 2018-19
Beginning in the 2018-19 season, in response to audience surveys, all evening Philadelphia Chamber Music Society concerts will begin at 7:30 PM. Our pre-concert lectures will now begin at 6:30 PM. Our Sunday afternoon concerts will still begin at 3 PM. We hope you find this a welcome change.
Announcing a New Community Concert Venue
PCMS is delighted to be among a small group of organizations invited by the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) to hold concerts in the intimate, 250-seat John and Richanda Rhoden Arts Center auditorium in the Samuel M.V. Hamilton building. This brand-new space will have general admission seating. PAFA is located at 118-128 North Broad.
PCMS Introduces Full Season Pass in 2018-19
From March 1 through July 31, 2018 PCMS will continue to accept subscriptions to our 2018-19 Season. Elias Quartet Personnel Change for Feburary 2018 Concert
We’ve just received word from the members of the Elias Quartet that violist Martin Saving will be unable to participate in the quartet’s upcoming North American tour in February-March, 2018, due to treatment for a medical condition which involves his arm. Simone van der Giessen will fill in for Martin for all performances on this.
